Coating plus PPF
A coating adds gloss and makes cleaning easy, but it won't stop a rock chip. For the most protection, put paint protection film on the front end and coat the whole car.

What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
PPF is a clear film that physically takes rock chips and scratches. A ceramic coating is a hard glossy layer that repels water, salt and dirt. Many owners do both.
Do you polish the paint before coating?
Yes. Every coating includes a wash, decontamination and a light polish before the coating goes on.
